Perth to Kalgoorlie

Kalgoorlie may be an outback city but it is no way isolated from Perth, or the rest of Australia. In fact, getting to Kalgoorlie has never been easier with an extensive network of rail, bus and air services linking it to Perth and beyond.

 

Air Travel

Air travel is the easiest and most direct way to travel to Kalgoorlie from Perth. Both Qantas and Skywest operate services in and out of Kalgoorlie, with connections through Perth and some other regions of Western Australia.  You can fly most days of the week, but booking ahead during peak season (towards the middle of the year) is highly recommended. 

The Kalgoorlie airport is conveniently located just 7km from the CBD of Kalgoorlie which makes it easy to get to and from the airport and on with the business of enjoying your holiday in Kalgoorlie.

Bus Service

Rail 

Travelling to Kalgoorlie from Perth by train also takes approx 6 hours. Services are operated several times a week by Westrail. The Prospector train service operated by Westrail is a newly upgraded service making it an enjoyable way to journey to Kalgoorlie form Perth.  Enquiries and reservations can be made by contacting Westrail on 131053 or, if you are in Kalgoorlie, drop into their office in Forest Street.
